The Morsetto lamps are framed as a collaboration between ECAL and FOSCARINI . It was commissioned the design of a wireless portable lamp. The central aspect of the project was to focus on the light-body relationship.
As design approach, the manipulation of already existing industrial elements was consider attractive. Morsetto family is the outcome of a material approach to acrylic pipes. By using industrial pieces massively transformed into unique pieces. The pipes were heated until 300°, deformed and sealed with some familiar patterns which become something like a handle.
The light gets caught by the closed shape, the plastic becomes fluid to be transformed and freezes in time, with the light in it.
