Four by Three for QWSTION + ECAL by Oscar Estrada and Ignacio Merino, is a modular travelling backpack that can be easily split into three different bags when needed.

Taking advantage of the Cotton Shell, a light weight, breathable and water tight material developed by QWSTION and DNS. We wanted to create a backpack that adapts to different carrying needs a long trip. It’s thought for those who are urban explorers, who will go into every corner and alley of a city. We made a study about how people pack and carry their items, and we soon realized the need for bags in various sizes. The challenge was to have an easy way of splitting and assembling the bags, but at the same time creating a system that is safe and would endure the rough situations of travels.
